This Privacy Policy explains how DTECH Cabling Systems (UK) Limited, trading as DTECH® (“DTECH”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data in connection with our website, products, and services. 5.1 Trade credit insurer — we share account, payment history, and financial data with our trade credit insurer to obtain and maintain credit insurance cover and to make claims in the event of non-payment.
5.2 Credit reference agencies — we may share data with credit reference agencies to assess creditworthiness and to register defaults or late payments where permitted by law.
5.3 Payment processors — your payment details are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not have access to your full card details.
5.4 Logistics and freight providers — we share your name, address, and contact details with couriers, freight forwarders, and hauliers as necessary to fulfil your order.
5.5 Professional advisers — including lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers who provide professional services to DTECH on a confidential basis.
5.6 IT and technology providers — companies that provide website hosting, email services, CRM systems, and other technical infrastructure, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
5.7 Debt recovery — in the event of non-payment, we may share your data with debt collection agencies or assign our rights to our trade credit insurer.

5.9 International transfers — where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR, including standard contractual clauses or transfers to countries with an adequacy decision.
6.1 We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law.
6.2 Customer account and order data is retained for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of the last transaction to comply with HMRC and Companies House requirements.
6.3 Credit and financial records are retained for seven (7) years from the date of the relevant transaction or the settlement of any dispute, whichever is later.
6.4 Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent or opt out, at which point your details will be removed from our marketing lists within thirty (30) days.
6.5 Website analytics and technical data is retained for a maximum of twenty-six (26) months.
6.6 After the applicable retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised.
