CONSUMER RETURNS & REFUND POLICY

This Consumer Returns & Refund Policy applies exclusively to Consumer Buyers — individuals purchasing goods from DTECH® for personal use outside of any business, trade, or profession. If you are a business customer, please refer to our Terms and Conditions of Sale which govern your rights in relation to returns and cancellations.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This policy does not limit or exclude those rights.

1. WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO

1.1 This policy applies only to Consumer Buyers — private individuals purchasing goods from DTECH® through our website at www.dtechcables.com for personal, non-commercial use.

1.2 Business customers, traders, resellers, contractors, and any person purchasing in the course of a business do not benefit from the rights set out in this policy. Business customers are subject to our Terms and Conditions of Sale exclusively.

1.3 If you are unsure whether you qualify as a Consumer Buyer, please contact us at connect@dtechcables.com before placing your order.

2. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL (COOLING-OFF PERIOD)

2.1 As a Consumer Buyer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving your goods without giving any reason. This is your statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

2.2 The fourteen (14) day cancellation period begins on the day after you, or a person nominated by you, takes physical possession of the goods.

2.3 To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us clearly in writing before the fourteen (14) day period expires. You can do so by:

   (a) Email: connect@dtechcables.com — please include your order number, name, and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

   (b) Post: DTECH Cabling Systems (UK) Limited, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE.

2.4 We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation notice by email as soon as reasonably practicable.

3. EXCEPTIONS — WHEN YOU CANNOT CANCEL

The fourteen (14) day right to cancel does not apply to the following categories of goods:

3.1 Custom or bespoke goods — goods made to your specific measurements, specification, or personalised requirements. This includes cut-to-length cables, custom-terminated assemblies, and any goods manufactured or configured specifically for your order.

3.2 Sealed goods not suitable for return for hygiene or health protection reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery.

3.3 Goods that have been installed, used, or incorporated into any other product or system after delivery.

3.4 Goods that have been damaged after delivery through misuse, accident, or negligent handling.

4. RETURNING YOUR GOODS

4.1 Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you must return the goods without undue delay and in any event within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date you notified us.

4.2 Goods must be returned in their original condition, in original undamaged packaging, with all labels, accessories, and documentation included.

4.3 The cost of returning goods is your responsibility unless the goods are faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied (see Section 6).

4.4 Please send returns to: DTECH Cabling Systems (UK) Limited, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, clearly marked with your order number.

4.5 We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service. DTECH accepts no liability for goods lost or damaged in return transit.

4.6 Do not return goods without first contacting us. Unauthorised returns may be refused and returned to you at your cost.

5. REFUNDS

5.1 Once we have received and inspected the returned goods, we will issue a full refund of the original purchase price within fourteen (14) calendar days.

5.2 Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

5.3 We reserve the right to reduce your refund to reflect any diminution in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.

5.4 Where standard delivery was included in the original purchase price, no deduction will be made for the outbound delivery cost.

5.5 We will not issue a refund where goods are returned outside the fourteen (14) day return window without prior written agreement.

6. FAULTY, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECTLY SUPPLIED GOODS

6.1 If your goods arrive damaged, are faulty, or are not as described, you have additional statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6.2 Within 30 days of delivery — you are entitled to a full refund, replacement, or repair at your option.

6.3 Between 30 days and 6 months — we are entitled to attempt one repair or replacement before you can claim a refund.

6.4 After 6 months — you may still have rights if you can demonstrate the goods were faulty at the time of delivery.

6.5 To report faulty or damaged goods, contact us at connect@dtechcables.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible.

6.6 Where goods are confirmed faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly supplied, we will cover return postage and issue a full refund or replacement at your preference.

7. GOODS NOT PURCHASED ONLINE

7.1 This policy applies to goods purchased through DTECH’s website only. For goods purchased via telephone, email order, or through a trade account, our Terms and Conditions of Sale apply.

9. COMPLAINTS

9.1 If you are unhappy with how we have handled your return or refund, please contact us at connect@dtechcables.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within two (2) business days and aim to resolve it within fourteen (14) days.

9.2 If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. Details of approved schemes are available from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute at www.tradingstandards.uk.

9.3 You also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. GOVERNING LAW

10.1 This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer, which cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
